As Lars said, there does often arise confusion in our name.

He gets called Mr. Elliott quite often, and he just says, well, I'm Mr.

Elliot the third.

And some of you may not know that I did have a second husband who died of cancer, and as far

as I know, Lars is feeling fine tonight.

So we're hoping that he'll stick around.

We did have a wonderful experience, though.

One time I was speaking at a breakfast, and Lars was there early setting up the book table,

and there was a little old lady putting place

cards around on the speaker's table.

Well, as is my husband's want, as a southerner, he is very friendly and outgoing and a joker.

So he was joking with the lady back and forth, as he says in the South, Cutting the Fool.

And finally, she looked at him and she said,

by the way, what's your name?

And he said, facetiously, well, I'm an Elliot too.

And she said, are you the speaker's husband?

And he said, yes.

She said, well, that's funny.

I thought they told me you had a different name

and he said well I do actually

he said you know I'm her third husband

and my name is grin
