I ask Collinsworth, how intimidated were you to replace John Madden?

Having to me twice at Fox when I was over there, John left.

Then I came back to NBC when NBC got football on the tail end and they gave me that tap on the shoulder one more time and I was like how

stupid am I not only once did I have to replace you now I got to do it a second time this is insane I ask Mace how

serious is the situation of overuse of painkillers in the that's taken before game so it's in the anticipation of pain.

And now my conversation with Chris Collinsworth.

I don't know exactly when this is going to air Chris, but I do want to start off by telling

you a story that you may not even remember. It's a Chris

Collinsworth story from Cincinnati, Ohio. Yeah, we go way back, big boy. So in the

year in 1984 was my first year covering the NFL and I covered the bangles and that year it was a very interesting year

Boomer was a rookie, Ken Anderson, the grizzled vet, Munoz was

there, Reggie Williams, there were so many smart people on that team. It was unbelievable. And so I remember late in the year, my wife and

I lived on the east side of town out near Anderson Township and at that time, it

must be gone right now, there's a kind of a large

Catholic orphanage there and that year I just asked right before Christmas I
