Hello, I'm Peter King. Welcome to the MMQB podcast with Peter King, where I take you

inside the minds of the biggest influencers in the NFL.

This week Hall of Fame General Manager Bill Polion, now an ESPN commentator, and another

young general manager, John Robinson of the Tennessee Titans.

I asked Polion, why was he so upset that former Commissioner Paul Tagliaboo didn't make

the Pro Football Hall of Fame this year.

Ron Wolf and Eddie de Bartolo and myself,

if you put everything we did for the game together,

it wouldn't equal one-tenth of what Paul Taglibou has done for the game.

And I asked John Robinson the general manager of the Titans

if Marcus Mariota, his star quarterback who broke his leg last December, will be ready for the start of

training camp. We've set it before the most important thing for us is to have Marcus

healthy for week one so we're going to take every precaution necessary to make sure he's healthy.

Push him if he needs to be pushed, but he's the type of guy who probably really don't have to push a whole lot because he's just got that intrinsic motivation to be a good football player.

And now my conversation with Bill Polion.

So back on the MMQB podcast with Peter King. I'm here with Bill Polion, the Hall of Fame General Manager,

which those words probably never get old to Bill Polion.

We'll ask him about that in a second. But now he's in a different world. He's

working for ESPN as an NFL analyst. So I thought I would have him on the podcast to talk about a number of things, but mostly just about football and about his life in football and about the different things he's done that I'm not sure a lot of people

really know.
