And on this week's show, Alini Silva will be joining Marianne.

Alini is the co-director of Creaturekind, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to encourage Christians to recognize faith-based reasons for caring about the well-being of fellow animal creatures used for food and to take practical action in response.

You know how much I love interviews about religion.

I really do.

I always find them fascinating.

And Alini and Creaturekind are doing some great work.

I should give one heads up.

I think probably all of our listeners are familiar with the fact that we ordinarily bring people on who are

very pro-veganism, you know, particularly when we're doing an interview about farm animals

and agriculture, not necessarily when we're doing an interview about another topic, such as

wildlife. But we love that vegan, you know, full perspective. And Alini is definitely a passionate vegan.

I'm not, don't, no hesitations about that. I did realize during the interview, and this was my fault,

because I probably should have played a little bit closer attention to the mission that I was a little

caught off guard about the mission being also supportive of welfare reforms.

And, you know, we are not opposed to welfare reforms by any means.

You know, if people want to treat their animals better than they are already treating them, that's fine.

But we don't really support humane agriculture as a solution. So I may have overreacted a little bit when

Aline said that because like I said, she did catch me off guard. But just a heads up.
