0:00.0	Life is a journey, and the fourth section of the Psalms, known as the Numbers' Psalms, show us the goodness and guidance of God along that journey.
0:16.0	If we want to move forward, we must look up. Let's join Scott Pauli now as we open the Word of God and find direction for the road of life.
0:26.6	All of Scripture is given to help us know God in a greater way. It's all about the Lord,
0:41.2	but there are certain portions of Scripture that just concentrate on who God is. And Psalm 104 is one
0:48.9	of those Psalms. It is full of theology. It's 35 verses long, and it is one of the most majestic, amazing psalms.
0:57.9	It begins this way, bless the Lord, oh, my soul.
1:01.4	May I ask, does that sound vaguely familiar?
1:04.0	In the previous Psalm, we began and closed with bless the Lord, oh my soul.
1:08.4	So we're still blessing the Lord.
1:10.2	And why are we blessing him? He says, bless the Lord, oh, my. So we're still blessing the Lord. And why are we blessing him?
1:12.0	He says, bless the Lord, oh my soul, O Lord, my God, thou art very great. Thou art clothed with honor
1:18.3	and majesty. So it begins not with what God does first, but with who God is. We just praise him for
1:25.8	his greatness. His goodness to us comes out of the greatness
1:31.1	of his character. And then he begins in verse number two to show us God as the creator,
1:37.3	who covers thyself with light as with a garment. I believe that that is what Adam and Eve saw in the garden, because God is light.
1:47.8	The Bible says no man has seen God at any time, but what they saw, I believe, was the God who is light,
1:56.9	and that's who he is. That's the essence of his being. In him is no darkness at all.
2:02.7	And the God who is light spoke light. The Bible says, who stretches out the heavens like a curtain,
2:08.2	who layeth the beams of his chambers and the waters, who maketh the clouds his chariot,
2:13.0	who walketh upon the wings of the wind, who maketh his angel spirits as ministers of flaming fire,
2:19.6	who laid the foundations of the earth that it should not be removed forever.
2:25.3	Now covers it with the deep as with a garment, the waters stood above the mountains.
