You know, I love limitations.

You're like, what?

I do.

I love limitations for how they serve us for what they do to us,

to how they mold us, to how they shape us.

I want to think about the creative limitations I've had in my life.

They are the exact thing that shaped my style, that shaped my resilience.

Remember when I started doing videos, I didn't have really any equipment.

I had a cheap camera, cheap lens, and that's it.

And I figured out really quickly how to make high budget music videos or videos,

videos that looked as if they were high budget, but really it was just one young guy,

myself, and a cheap camera, his skateboard, and his two hands.

And this led me into a lot of work and, you know,

being able to work with cool people and just bring more attention to what I was doing.

Because I had limitations.

I had these creative limitations,

the lack of resources.

I had no help.

I had no information to understand.

I didn't know what I was doing.

Funny thing is my first year doing videos for the whole year.

I didn't know what an aperture was.
