She specializes in buying pre-foreclosure properties.

And I want to find out how she's doing this.

Lori, why don't we start with you telling me how you got into real estate?

We got started in real estate really because it was my

husband's dream. Ever since I met him about 35 years ago, he's been talking about wanting to own

property. And my perception of what it's like to be a landlord was my dad. My dad bought some

rental properties after I left home. And invariably,

every single time we would go home for Thanksgiving and visit my folks. My dad would get a call

from one of his tenants saying that their toilet was plugged or their sewer was backing up or,

you know, there was something wrong and they needed him like right away. So he would say

to me, well, you want to go with me? And it's like, you know, if I want to spend time with my dad,

I'm going with my dad to these rental properties. And his business model was to buy these old
