minute. Wow. I am once again, and as always excited to be here with you guys today because

we get to really take it back to the basics. And some of you might not be even the slightest

bit excited about that. You want to know the juicy details. You want to know how to make

a ton of money and find these amazing awesome deals. And we have tons and tons of episodes

about all those things. One episode I've never actually created is an episode about the

simple language of the multifamily industry. There are definitely a lot of terms that have

been thrown around specifically just in this podcast, but also as I'm sure you've known

if you're trying to get deeper into the multifamily industry or really just real estate investing

in general, you're seeing all of this, all of these different words that you maybe don't

quite understand, but you've never really had the guts to ask someone, hey, what does

that really mean when folks start talking about absorption and random little little words

that you're like, I don't know what that means, but I'm just going to go with it. You

know, you just kind of think, you know what it means based on the context clues that

they give when they're talking about it, but you're not fully comprehending. So I wanted

to take a couple of minutes today to go over a few key things that I think you may or

may not know. And the reason I may think that is because it's probably something I didn't

know for a while until I really dove deeper into business and started educating myself on

some of these specific terms. And so we're just going to jump right in. First thing we're

going to talk about today is absorption rate. Now absorption rate is not actually the
