The past few weeks I've talked about creating Hygge, having intentional downtime, and putting off the garden planning for another day.

I’m diving into the conversation around traditions and building legacy in today's podcast. I was blessed to glean so much from my grandmother, who passed away 15 years ago. She was one of those matriarchs that knew how to create an atmosphere. I strive to pass along that same splendor to my family by cultivating and creating an experience that I also get to share in.

Giving is something that I’ve felt passionate about since I was in middle school (and I’ll share that story with you in today’s podcast). But giving and building tradition doesn’t have to be complicated or extravagant.

Traditions are created by a person who cares to establish them. Once my grandmother passed away, I decided I was going to be that person.

0:50.4	I've been in an interesting place this last few weeks, and I'm actually sitting here. I'm in my
0:55.7	RV at my house overlooking my farm during this busy season. I moved all of my podcast recording
1:03.4	stuff home from my office where I typically go and record, and I'm watching a hawk circle around the farm. Now, thankfully, we don't really deal
1:12.8	with hawk pressure with our chickens because we have them out in electric fences in the middle of
1:19.7	the pasture. So the hawks don't like swooping down in there. They don't have anything nearby
1:24.1	they can light on. But it still makes me a little bit nervous. So as I'm
1:28.2	recording, kind of keeping an eye on this big bird of prey that is flying over my little helpless
1:35.5	birds of egg laying. Today I want to talk to you guys about traditions. And it is the holiday season.
