If you have been wondering how to create a garden that is full of color, certainly something

that I have neglected in the past, as well as one that is water-wise, where you're not

using as much water as you might normally think of in a traditional garden, then this episode

is for you. In fact, we have Nan Sturman on the podcast. She's a garden expert, a botanist,

a journalist, an educator. She has a TV show on a public TV called A Growing Passion and

is also the author of three books, Has an Online Garden School, and also Designs Garden.

So Nan, it seems like there's almost nothing in the world of gardening that you don't

do. Sometimes I feel like that, but you know, it's all connected and it's all exciting

and it's all fun to do. So, yeah, I've been doing all those things for a really long

time. It's a wonderful career. Yeah, no, I can imagine, and I'm glad to have you on

the show this week. I know that your book's focused on water-wise gardens, and actually

one of our team members, Natalie, is she's told me that you're her absolute favorite

gardener. So I'm excited to chat. Yeah, and a little background on, I've come from

more of an edible's perspective, particularly annuals in the past, and now I'm transitioning

to more perennials and expanding my pallet of plants there. But color and aesthetics has

never been a huge focus for me. I'm trying to fix that and remedy that. So I'm excited

to talk to you today about the color-filled options that we have.
