And in today's episode, we're going to talk about creating more mind space. More to come on what that means and how to do that in a moment.

But first, let's settle in together with the sound of the bells. Okay, so creating more mind space.

First, what does that mean?

Well, I think we can all connect to what it feels like

to have a not so spacious mind when we feel

contracted or small or very self-centered or consumed by thoughts, emotions, our pains. We could say that we're strongly identified

with the experience that we're having in the moment, like the thought, like the

emotion, like the sensation or the sensory experience,

insomuch that that really becomes our entire experience, and it's hard to perceive our life

beyond the boundaries of that experience.

Is that fair to say?

I think all of us can connect to at least what that feels like.

To me, it's like a claustrophobia within ourselves.

And so I think one of the big polls to meditation practices and contemplative practices

is even if it's an elusive sense there is a sense that something

about these practices will give us more space, more ease, will become bigger in a sense.
