Good morning and welcome to the Independent Republic of Mike Graham right here on Talk Radio. So is it doom or glue? Is it boom or bust?

The messages coming out of the powers that be are still about as mixed as a bag of liquorish,

all sorts, it seems to be. The Prime Minister told the country yesterday, if we don't follow

the rules, we might all have to go back into a second full lockdown. Shortly before his

dad, Stanley, was pictured not following the rules by shopping

without a mask. Meanwhile, the government's chief scientific advisors, and Patrick Valens told us

that we don't have the virus under control. His words, at the moment, shortly before admitting

that his figure of 50,000 potential infections was made up to alarm people. It was also, despite

the boffins at Imperial College claimed that the R-rate has now gone back down to 1.1, which of course you would expect to happen because they were the ones

that put it up in the first place. All of this was shortly before former Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn was

pictured at a dinner party for nine people, breaking the rule of six. Who knew he had that many

friends? And as if all that wasn't confusing enough,

the government was victorious in pushing through the coronavirus bill that gives them more

powers for more measures for the next six months. Marvelous, isn't it? Luckily,
