Companies start doing things that if you're paying attention,

you can indication that a layoff might be coming,

or perhaps a furlough might be coming. You might assume

that many companies or all companies have already done what they're going to do but

senior leaders are constantly revising their projections.

Depends on what kind of death they can take on.

There are all kinds of factors that go into this,

and we shouldn't be assuming in late April or May

that there won't be further layoffs, further furloughs, and so on.

If you're not in that senior group that makes that decision, you ought to be paying attention

to the signs that are occurring around you.

So here we go. Layoff signs, part one.
