On June 5, 1968, a young woman was born,

who would suddenly disappear without any warning. A case that, despite a few key pieces of evidence,

remains unsolved. So if you like your coffee hot but your bones chilled, sit back and start your day with a morning cup of murder. Jody Sue Hoysen-Truitt was born on June 5th, 1968, and raised in Long Prairie,

Minnesota. The youngest daughter, once in high school, Jody found a passion for golf, and considered

a promising talent

was on the team that won the state class A tournament in both 1985 and 1986.

After graduation, Jody attended the St. Cloud University, where she studied mass communications

and speech communication.

Obtaining her bachelor's degree in 1990, Jody began work with Northwest Airlines,

and then later began her broadcasting career with K-G-A-N in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, as the station's

Iowa City Bureau Chief, and then, returning back to Minnesota, began work for KSAX in Alexandria.

Later, returning to Iowa for her position at K-I-M-T in Mason City, this is where Jody was working

when, on June 27, 1995, she disappeared without any warning.

The day before her disappearance, Jody participated in a golf tournament. Then, according to a man named John Van Sice, went to his home to view a homemade

video of a birthday celebration he had arranged for her earlier in the month. Then, at around

4 a.m. on June 27th, K-I-M-T producer Amy Cuns noticed that Jody

failed to show up to work and called her apartment to check on her. Jody answered the phone and
