Hi, this is Josh Marshall and this is the Josh Marshall podcast.

We are continuing with our emphasis on the politics of abortion access in this country, which

obviously at the moment has various political and electoral political and legal contexts.

So we're going to dig into a few of those and we're going to talk about a few posts of

mine, a few posts from my co-host Kate and one thing just to start off on today, one of

the things we've been talking about is you know, whether row and the dobs decision are

going to become central issues in the midterm election and that is looking at the question

through a electoral political prism, but that is also the question of whether or not this

is going to change in January of 2023 is the midterm election going to possibly have

the consequence of changing this all back, allowing the federal government to pass a law

which basically reinstates all the protections under row and then you know, we're back to

the status quo ante or not.

Are the democrats going to have a terrible midterm in which case, you know, nothing at all

is going to happen on that front and if they do have a terrible midterm and if the democrats

lose the presidency in 2024, maybe you get a national ban on abortion that republicans
