A federal court has blocked President Donald Trump from imposing the bulk of his tariffs.

We asked CNN's Anna Kuban for the details.

Yes, Joe, well, a federal court on Wednesday said that Trump really doesn't have the legal

standing to be able to push through the bulk of his tariff plan.

And those include the tariffs he announced in early April, the so-called Liberation Day tariffs,

the reciprocal tariffs.

And that's because Trump invoked a law, an emergency powers law, which the court says doesn't

make any mention of tariffs as a potential action that the president can use.

The administration has appealed the decision, so there's more uncertainty there for businesses.

And crucially, it doesn't affect other key tariffs, for example, the 25% that Trump has

slapped on.
