It was a long time ago, but I was dating a guy who lived about five hours away from me.

I made many drives back and forth to visit him at a state and often found myself singing

along to this certain artist's songs.

They felt fitting as I drove to Tennessee and looked out at the sprawling green south,

and the relationship obviously ended, and I couldn't be happier now, but girls have such

a unique relationship with music.

We feel so much, and I'm not saying that guys don't have feelings, but girls can just

put on a song and let it define her life, love, loss, relationships, everything.

And I have good memories of looking out my window, being happy in my relationship, and

just taking in her music, which felt very reflective of that season in my life.
