I have spent countless hours lamenting the state of country music today and honestly a couple of nights ago I stayed up way too late and I

started digging into the top 100 songs on the country music chart year by year and truthfully it starts going wrong

after 1983 1983 is islands in the stream which really is not even a true country song but I'm okay

with that because you got to remember Kenny was a crossover artist but I still consider Kenny

country I don't want to go too deep off off that ledge but by the time you get to the late 80s you're

already if you look at the chart it's already stuff that I don't particularly care for I knew you

don't want to hear this but like the judge I'm not a fan of the judge but there gets to be a lot of

stuff that is not for my money country music and that this would offend a lot of you also I won't say

it but it'd be a bunch of people like Shania Twain or Tim McGraw faith hill anyway so I guess at a

certain age you just you're frustrated with country music oh oh oh so I'm old I'm 52 years old

okay all right you're right I'm closer to 53 you're what 45 46 okay we're basically the same age

oh you're a young 46 oh okay all right just because you got little kids you think you

oh that doesn't make me old just because my kids are almost left the house I'm not comfortable with

this by the way I'm not I don't want my kids to leave anyway I came across this video of a fellow

by the name of Austin Foreman and he wrote a song about this very thing you want to know what's

wrong with country music today let's listen to this

so I'm not done and I live music city it changed your life with some jeans fit to tight

and a brand new cowboy hat saying something about hockey tops and push a plow

the radio will push it out they pay them good for that make sure we learn to play family tradition

and if anybody I say you're a christian you can put a wailing on you can teach them all his songs

and show them how to use our accent when they sing you might live up in my lungs hang the records
