Summary

He was rich, so they thought he was blessed. He was young, so they followed his charisma. He was a ruler, so they marveled at his power. Christ saw this man for who he really was, and called him to trade it all in for a genuine faith.

0:51.7	chapter 18 starting in verse 18.
0:56.7	And a ruler asked him, good teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?
1:01.9	And Jesus said to him,
1:02.8	why do you call me good?
1:04.4	No one is good except God alone.
1:07.1	You know the commandments.
1:08.6	Do not commit adultery.
1:10.1	Do not murder.
1:11.1	Do not steal.
1:12.4	Do not bear false witness honor your father and mother and he said all these I have kept from my youth
1:19.6	When Jesus heard this he said to him, one thing you still lack,
1:23.7	sell all that you have and distribute to the poor
1:26.6	and you will have treasure in heaven,
1:28.6	and come follow me.
1:31.2	But when he heard these things,
1:32.3	he became very sad, he was extremely rich.
