Summary

Edmond Dantes returns to France as a captain. He has just received a promotion, and soon he will be marrying the love of his life: the beautiful Mercedes.

The only issue? He doesn't realize that he has enemies, and that the last request of his dying captain - simply delivering a letter - could change his life forever.

"The Count of Monte Cristo" is absolutely in the top 10 for all-time favorite books. It has everything, and it's so intricately woven together that you just get lost in it. It was absolutely a challenge for this show, but it's a story that I'm excited to tell.
