Steve Robertson here on the Maroon Friday edition of the yard.

I mean it's one more week closer to college football. Are we excited about that? I know I am.

You have to be. And whether it be in Friday it might be a payday for you. I hope it is. You can get out

and enjoy yourself this weekend. Have a good time with the family or your friends or whatever it is

that you or who you choose to congregate with. That's all your business. I'm not judging, but I know

this. This time next week, we're going to be getting ready for Game week and we'll have a chance to watch old college football next week.

Super, right?

And it's one of those things too, it's like you get through the dog days of summer and you're nearly there, right?

But it seems like things just kind of drag and drag and drag and drag.

And these final weeks leading up to college football.

And listen, I enjoy pro sports, but I live in the big maroon bubble.

And I don't watch a lot of Major League Baseball.

I don't watch a lot of NFL football.

I'm a Stewards fan.

So when the Stewards are on, I'll watch the Stewards. I dropped NFL Sunday ticket years ago. And I watch Dak, you know, when he's on. But, you know, we stay so busy doing what we do. And that's not a humble brag. We just kind of stay busy. Try to provide you guys with the you know the latest and greatest

information on Mississippi State sports I just don't have time to give to that

and you know we love what we do which I think is a benefit to all of you too you

know in your respects we're all kind of obsessed with what's going on at

Mississippi State obsessed with being competitive competitive and those kinds of things but when college sports begin

when the season officially begins to me there it's like a there's something that

changes in me right and what I mean by that is it's like the things that you look forward to,
