So today we are sitting down with Koss Marte, he is the founder and CEO of Con Body.

If you were not familiar with Con Body,

it is a New York City-based prison-style fitness

boot camp utilizing body weight exercises,

so think jumping jacks, sit-ups, push-ups, all things that you can do in

quite literally a prison cell which is where this idea was founded.

Costs has been in and out of the criminal justice system since he was 13 and at 23 he was arrested on drug charges and it was not for the first time but this was the most serious time and he ended up spending four years in

prison. At the beginning of his sentence he was told that his health was in

grave danger due to his weight and his lifestyle so he immediately decided to exercise

and over six months he dropped 70 pounds,

which I mean I can't fathom people doing in the real world

but also when you're incarcerated and you're not in

control of so much of your life, that's really freaking incredible. So he

developed this con body program while he was in prison and then after he was released it took three years to formally launch the company.

The program consists of 45 minute exercise routines that are entirely body weight.
