We tend to, as I was saying earlier, react to our life instead of respond to it.

We all want to be that person who is free of judgment, who is kind, who is patient,

it was more loving.

But there are these emerging negative qualities., oh, well, here's the

judgmental thought, here's this thought, here's this critical thought, here's this rude thought,

here's this mean thought, those things arise and pass through, and generally because there's no space there and we're living in a reactionary way

We say those things about thinking of them and then usually later do a little post-event processing go oh well. I was kind of a jerk I wish I wouldn't have said that.

And so through a little meditation or just being able to recognize when those things arise and

choosing to not say those things,

choosing to throw those things into what I call

the mindfulness gap creates this whole different

version of you because we're not our thoughts,
