Welcome to the Dr. Berg's Healthy Keto and Interminute Fasting Podcast, where Dr. Berg takes you on the journey for the truth about getting healthy and losing healthy weight. Let's talk about some unique differences between the influenza virus, the flu,

0:49.0

and the COVID-19, which is the coronavirus. What are the differences? What are the similarities?

0:55.5

Now, let's first talk about the symptoms. With the flu virus, you have more achiness, fatigue, chills, and headaches. Now,

1:01.2

you're also going to get those symptoms over here too, but not as severe. What's unique about

1:06.3

the coronavirus is that you're going to get more shortness of breath and difficulty breathing.

2:00.2

was also very common in the Spanish flu of

2:03.7

1918. What worse in those cases back then was the fact that they not only had arts, but they also

2:11.3

took massive doses of aspirin, and they didn't know the toxicity back back then and that just made things a lot worse.

2:18.4

Now with the flu virus it targets the elderly people with a weak immune system or someone has a

2:27.6

chronic health problem, diabetes, obesity, heart disease, etc. It also targets children and pregnant women. Whereas in the

2:38.4

coronavirus, the target is the elderly, 70, 80 plus years old, and people with pre-existing health
