Hello, welcome to this week's All-Out Politics Podcast. I'm Adam Bolton. And joining me this week are the author of Big Data, Does Size Matter, Tumandra Harkness, the science writer at Unheard Tom Chivers, and Sky News's chief political correspondent John Craig. No prizes. We're going to talk about COVID this week and about Brexit and quite possibly about a little bit about political diaries.

But first of all, on the virus, we're going to look in particular at the whole test trace isolate program

and what the Prime Minister calls huge problems with testing as infections increase

and more local restrictions are introduced.

So let's plunge straight in. This is what the Prime Minister and the stand-in for the Labour Party,

the Deputy Leader Angela Rainer had to say on the subject of

testing at Prime Minister's questions. Mr Speaker wants to start by reading the Prime Minister a message

that I've received from a man called Keir. Keir wasn't able to go to work today and his children

couldn't go to school because his family had to wait for their

coronavirus test results despite the Prime Minister promise of results within 24 hours.

89% of those who have tests get them within in-person tests, get them the next day. And we are working very fast to turn around all the tests requests that we get.

And I think most people are looking at the record of this country in delivering tests across the nation will we'll see that it actually compares extremely well
