0:25.3	Demanding answers as to why President Trump had shut down a unit inside the National Security
0:31.0	Council to deal with global pandemics. The move brown wrote then, quote,
0:36.8	threatens our ability to respond to a public health emergency.
0:41.0	End quote. He then added, quote, in our globalized world where diseases are never more than a
0:47.7	plane ride away, we must do all we can to prepare for the next inevitable outbreak and keep
0:54.2	Americans safe from disease. Brown never got a response.
0:58.7	But his 2018 letter stands as one of the many warnings about the prospect of an infectious
1:04.0	disease outbreak that were ignored by the Trump administration until it was far too late.
