Two weeks away from playing professional basketball in Europe, Cornell suffered a career-ending injury that derailed his dream. Growing up with adversity his whole life allowed Cornell to get past “Why Me” and focus on “What Now”.

Tell us, how did you initially get into this?

Was there at some point in your life, you felt like a negative victim,

you had to change? Yeah. So for me, it's when I got injured. So I got a contract to play professional

basketball in 2002. And a week before I was supposed to leave I got injured so that kind of disrupted my whole

entire path I thought I was going to be a professional basketball player I was going to give money back to my

mom and help her you know we've always struggled financially etc etc and then when that injury
