We have guidelines that the Department of Justice and the FBI in which they draw lines around

politically sensitive topics, especially when we are near election time, because you do

not want that department to look like a bunch of partisan thugs.

And that apparently has all been thrown out of the window.

The news about Perry is particularly alarming and also in a slightly different category

too, because this is the executive branch intruding on and seizing a phone of someone

in the legislative branch.

Again, an area that the department has traditionally been very reticent to violate.

That's Kim Strassel of the Wall Street Journal of mentioning a, so many in Trump's orbit

had their phone taken by the Fed just in addition to the raid on Mar-a-Lago on Monday,

which we all know about.

As we mentioned last hour, there is a shortage list of people to whom we go for opinions

and perspective, because we know whether we agree or disagree, it's going to be worth

considering Andrew McCarthy is high, high on that list.
