Today I've spoken with Dr. Chance Bonar, who is a classicist and also a biblical scholar.

His work really spans everything I wanted for this episode, just looking at the very long

and storied history of Palestine, of the ancient Levant from the Bronze Age up until the Roman Empire.

And a bit later, we're looking at the archaeological record, how it aligns or doesn't

align with the biblical record, with the historical record, all of those

things and how they go together to make up the history of this incredibly ancient land and

incredibly ancient people. We had a really great time. It's a really interesting episode.

say broadly for now. Sure, sure. Yeah. I mean, so I got into this, originally an undergrad that I did

a triple major in classics, religion, and ancient studies, which is really just a double major,

let's be honest, when all of those things end up being kind of the same.
