All right, this is a really cool and interesting conversation I have coming up with the deputy commissioner of the NBA Mark Tatum.

So Harvard Business School has a student-run organization that is the business of sports and entertainment club. They hosted us for this panel and I appreciate them for calling me and having me

0:17.3

moderate this keynote conversation. I ask Mark some tough questions. I hopefully he still likes me afterwards but you be the judge.

Thank you all for being here and I think I wanted to start with the concept at least the way that I view it.

We're talking about sports. Sports is art and art becomes entertainment and entertainment has value. And there's always a challenge I think of

0:46.0

balancing the value of entertainment and maintaining the soul of the art and you see that

0:50.9

with music, movies, acting and all that stuff.

There's no sport where you actually can have your feet as a spectator on the field of play.

1:36.5

And so that accessibility and that proximity to the players who are playing in shorts and are, you know,

1:42.4

six, seven feet and... who are playing in shorts and are you know six seven

1:43.8

seven feet and being able to be right there on the court with them it's an

1:48.0

incredible experience and so it is about the authenticity it's about the

1:52.4

energy of the game it's about the energy of the game, it's about the

1:54.4

globality of the game. I think today with 125 players in our league, nearly 30% of

2:00.9

our league, there's a different style that's come to our game.
