Summary

Acne, eczema, psoriasis, vitiligo, all have their roots in inflammation and inappropriate immune system activation, but they are rarely discussed in the context of food…

And yet the foods you eat are very likely to be triggering your skin issues!

In this Controversial Thoughts video, I begin to look at just a bit of the research regarding this and discuss a few very interesting studies in dogs looking at standard diet (much the like the standard American diet) vs a species-appropriate diet…

Guess what? When dogs are fed a diet that’s what they are actually supposed to be eating, their skin conditions, inflammation markers, and genetic markers get much better!

Imagine that…🤯

You mean feeding animals (or humans) garbage food could cause chronic illness, and returning them to a truly appropriate diet could correct this? 😜 Yup!

I believe strongly that the same is true for humans, and have seen this countless times in patients, and from those in the #AnimalBased community.

What if you don’t need those super expensive rinses and skincare products…

What if you just need to return to eating a “species-appropriate diet”, aka an #Animalbased diet and your skin issues will improve?

I’m betting they will!

#Radicalhealth is your birthright! This is what #TheRemembering is all about.

Costa Rica edition. I'm still in Costa Rica, love in life here, love in the sun,

0:11.2

loving getting better at surfing and loving just being somewhere new and

0:16.6

meeting different people and podcasting from a different location. So life in

0:20.8

Costa Rica is amazing. If you're watching a video on YouTube, you can tell that I'm

0:23.6

not quite in Austin, Texas right now. So I am fascinated by skin stuff. When I was

0:30.8

in medical school, I almost went into dermatology probably because I had my own

0:35.6

exema, my own skin issues, but I think skin issues are so interesting because

0:40.4

they are over, right? They are clearly on display and you can look at someone's

0:45.7

skin whether they have exema, psoriasis, acne or whatever condition,

0:50.2

and a bit of ligo and see a clear change in their skin. If you guys will recall

0:55.0

from my podcast with Joe Rogan, we discussed the fact that his bit of ligo,

1:00.2

which is a lightning of the skin due to an autoimmune attack on the

1:04.8

melanocytes, had gotten better when he did a carnivore diet. So that was really

1:09.8

interesting that Joe's autoimmune skin condition had gotten better.

1:12.6

himself. We talked about that on the podcast. He talked about it previously. I

1:16.2

personally had exema. So I had what is called atopic dermatitis. It often occurs

1:21.6

with asthma. Both of those conditions were things that I had. That was my

1:25.2

autoimmune condition. And if you know my story, you know that one of the big

1:30.6

reasons that I started a carnivore diet in the first place three years ago or so

1:35.0

was because my exema was out of control. It was horrible. I think mushrooms were

1:39.8

one of the things that triggered that. That's a topic for a separate
