We have Leslie Halligan, the author of many books, Gardening Under Lights, I believe is

the first one we had you on for Leslie, but this new one, Tiny Plants, Discover the

joys of growing and collecting itty bitty houseplants, I've really gotten excited over

the course of this week at getting into some tiny plants.

Now the question I have, because my problem with houseplants in general, is that I'm so obsessed

with my edible garden outdoors, that I literally will just do the classic thing and forget

to water, or it's in the wrong spot, or whatever, and so when it comes to care for tiny

plants, let's just start with the container.

How do I even house a tiny plant is, where would you even get the container, that kind

of thing?

Right, so I actually wrote a pretty robust care chapter in tiny plants, because caring

for tiny plants in some ways can be much easier than larger houseplants, but for certain

things, it can be a little bit trickier.

I tend to dot over my tiny plants a lot more, you know, they seem a little bit more precious

to me, so I find just sort of as a natural habit, I pay more attention to my tiny plants.

My bigger houseplants, it's survival of the fittest around my house and my office, you

know, they're kind of have to be plants that can dry out, right, and kind of be forgotten

about a little bit, but when you get teeny tiny plants and you're creating environments

for them, you tend to pay a little bit more attention to them, but there are certain strategies

that you need to use.

Obviously, tiny plants, tiny root systems, tiny containers, they're going to dry out
