And right at the new year, I mean, today is January 13th, a lot of things have happened in the past two weeks.

We saw, you know, many people are talking about this riot that happened on Capitol Hill on the

6th of January. We'll talk about that today. And then there's been a massive crackdown by big tech

corporations, a huge censorship

campaign going on.

Donald Trump was banned from Twitter, and Donald Trump has really been banned from the

presidency, it seems.

Like, it's not really clear who's really in power on the eve of the inauguration on January

20th and Joe Biden coming in. So to talk about the situation

right now, politically in the United States, with the Joe Biden administration coming in

just a few days, we're speaking with Ray McGovern. Ray is a former CIA analyst and a journalist,

but unlike most former CIA analysts, he's very

critical of the U.S. government and especially foreign policy. So we're going to talk about,

you know, what his views are on the Mike Pompeo State Department slash CIA. I mean,

he's basically merged the two. So there's a lot to

discuss there. But thanks for joining us, Ray. I'm wondering if we can just start here getting your

response to what happened on January 6th. You know, some people are calling it a coup attempt.

Others are saying it was just a protest. I mean, what are your thoughts?
