Hello, hello, I'm Ben Norton, and this is not a traditional moderate rebels episode,

but this is the second part of a discussion I did with a friend of the show, Jared Ball.

Jared is a brilliant scholar, analyst. He's also a radio host, and he has his own show called I Mix What I Like,

which you can find at imix what I like.org. This is the second part of a conversation I had with him,

and in the first part, which you can find here at Mada Rebels, and also at I Mix What I Like,

I talked about information, war, U.S. imperialism, propaganda, and the

close relationship between the media, mainstream corporate media and the CIA. In this part,

we're talking about Julian Assange, the political prisoner, the journalist who is being tortured,

even though he has committed no crime except for telling the truth.

And we're going to talk about the extradition case against him.

And speaking about the CIA, I talk about how the CIA was spying on Julian Assange 24-7

when he was trapped in the Ecuadorian embassy for seven years.

I also talk about how the British judge in this case overseeing the extradition case

totally echoed the unsubstantiated, politically motivated U.S. government charges against Assange,

and actually, as I explain, definitely listen later on, the British judge relied on a CNN so-called report

that was totally debunked, and the CNN report was itself based on the false claims of a firm

that was used by the CIA to spy on Assange. So, you know, we talk about just the layers of propaganda and just how scandalous this

case should be, even though it's not getting much mainstream corporate media coverage.

And then finally, toward the end of this segment, we talk about the Joe Biden, upcoming

Joe Biden administration, and the Warhawks who fill his administration and how the

neoliberal Democratic Party is trying to stay relevant in the future by pushing this kind of new
