I am delighted to welcome back, my dear friend and longtime colleague, Jay Nordlinger.

Now, you all will remember that he was a guest here not very long ago, where we did an entire episode devoted to music. Maybe the most

popular episode we've ever recorded. People seemed to really love it, which is really gratifying.

But Jay has launched a new venture. He is now a substack writer. And so I thought this would be a good opportunity to sort of delve

into the other side of his persona, not the music critic, but the political thinker and writer.

So I invited him back and he was gracious enough to agree.

So for many years, you and I did a podcast together.

We were really early adopters of this whole podcast mode.

And I used to tell people that when we first started doing our podcast and I would tell people that I had a podcast, they would say, oh, that's nice.
