So today is Tuesday the 22nd, And yesterday was the one year anniversary of the day that

0:55.6

Kamala Harris formally entered the 2024 presidential race. One, I couldn't believe that had already

1:00.9

been a year. But two, I also could not believe that it felt so late in the summer for me to get

1:06.6

that reminder. And by the end of July, it really is, and I've always told my audience, I think

1:12.1

July is the greatest month in the year, but the end of July is my husband's birthday. And so for me,

1:46.8

And it was a screenshot that contained my reaction when I found out.

1:50.7

This was the text group that basically told me last year what had happened and that it was

1:55.7

official that Kamala Harris was now in the race.

1:58.3

And my one word response to the news was simply, fuck. I said the word

2:04.0

fuck, not because I often use the word fuck, but I said the word fuck, not because I worried about her

2:08.0

platform. I said it because I was really clear about the uphill battle we were about to face

2:12.9

in order to combat the disinformation campaigns that were already doing the devil's work. And let me be clear about who I mean by we, because some of y'all like to say that I, who have never once been paid, not one red, black, nor green sent by the Democratic Party, some folks like to say, I'm a shill for the party whenever I point out some ways in which we could do better electorally as a community. So let me be clear.

2:35.0

Now when I say we were going to have an uphill battle, by that I meant we, the people who
