Summary

In today's episode, Emily interviews Anais Goldberg, mother, a home cook turned entrepreneur, and the creator of Cook Initutively with Anais.

Her passion for cooking stemmed from watching her Mexican and Cuban grandmothers in the kitchen at a young age. Their use of flavors and invigorated senses enthralled Anais as she intuitively absorbed every essence of what it meant to cook. But it was when Anais walked down her health journey after recovering from her two consecutive pregnancies and being left with a laundry list of inflammatory issues, which she attributed to motherhood wear and tear, that Anais' relationship with food changed.

Enter Dr. Steven Gundry's book, "The Plant Paradox." After adopting his philosophy of wellness,  Anais uncovered the benefits of cooking and realized how several of her health problems, such as a low-thyroid condition, were directly related to inflammation. With Anais' cultural roots combined with the knowledge extracted from The Plant Paradox, Anais has now directed her passion into recreating the foods of her heritage to enhance the bioavailability of pairing ingredients and minimize inflammation.

In this episode you will hear about:

  1. How a low inflammatory diet  improved her life
  2. DITCH the oat milk
  3. Cooking Healthy Meals for Yourself & Your family
  4. Raising Children to be Health Conscious
  5. Knowing where your food comes from
  6. Get to know your farmers market vendors!
  7. Bouncing back from over indulging
  8. Fasting benefits
