Today's 10-minute walk is helping you keep your fitness promise, adding another link to a growing

fitness chain. It's also happening in a location where I don't normally walk. Dave and I are

visiting some friends who live on a ridge, a hill, a high hill.

Some might even call it a small mountain.

And so, Ava and I have the opportunity to take our, in her case, run, in my case, walk

using some pretty significant hills.

At the moment, I'm on a gravel roadway and I'm walking downhill.

And in just a moment, I'm going to turn around and head up the hill.

The hill that, as I'm looking at it, it's pretty significant. I suspect by the time

that I get to the top, you're going to hear me a little more out of breath than you're used to.

But before I turn around, I just want to describe the view that I have. My friends live near a lake. And so we are,

we're up pretty high. I don't know what the elevation is, but to my right, it's early morning.

The sun is up. It's early morning and there's a haze covering the valley. So it's a hazy morning and I can see

some hills on the other side of the ridge. There's a valley. And the other side of the valley,

I can see some houses on those hills. To my left, there's a lake and a bridge that's going

across the lake and some new homes that are being built.

I'm sure those are going to be very expensive once they're sold if they haven't already been pre-sold.

And so it's a beautiful morning.

I'm enjoying the view and in a moment I'm going to begin walking back up the hill.
