As Michigan women's soccer team approaches the midway point of their season, as they take on the Spartans this coming Friday, I had a chance to sit down with Coach Klein and talk about the development of this freshman class, her expectations of the seniors, and the rest of the season moving forward.

Coach Klein, first of all, thanks for joining us.

And just how much excitement are you feeling today as we record this on Monday

less than 24 hours after an overtime victory on Sunday.

Yeah, thank you, John, so much for having me.

You know, really excited to be on your show.

And, yeah, a day after a win, especially a double overtime win,

after a road trip always is great.

The sun is shining and a big smile on my face.

I bet.

It is nice to finally be out there.

And you started your season, February 20.

What was it like for you and your girls to finally get out there and compete?

And I know there's still challenges, but at least on the playing field, it's got to

be some sense of normalcy.

Yeah, you know, it definitely is, first for getting back, it was surreal.

It was like, wow, we're actually going to do this.
