We are talking in tonight on the book of Acts. We are starting in Acts chapter 8.

For those you that are joining. We are new King James version. We're keeping it all the same version just so that we can all parallel and we can all follow along.

I just started doing these in the book of Revelation, these verse by verse. Now we're in the book of Acts acts we've been breaking it up a little bit with other streams but we were talking out of acts chapter 8 for recap for those of you that were not

here stephen has just been martyred they've been threatening the disciples saying if you guys keep

doing this we're going to kill you and the disciples decided we're going to keep preaching we're

going to keep sharing nothing we can do the disciples disciples said, how are we going to listen to man when God is the one that's called us? God is the one that's told us to do this. We're not going to listen to you. And they kept threatening them. They would beat them up. Say, if you keep preaching, we're going to kill you. And the disciples kept preaching. And eventually it led up to Stephen, being the first martyr in the book of Acts, actually got stoned for his faith. And now the disciples are in the book of Acts actually got stone for his faith and now the

disciples are in the midst of persecution thriving in the midst of persecution the church is growing

demons are being cast out miracles are happening the poor are being fed and the disciples are

showing us oh come on holy ghost help me preach tonight that this is the normal Christian life, that the book of Acts is the normal Christian life.

That the normal Christian life is not go to church on Sunday and do nothing for God.

If that's what you think is Christianity, you're not living the normal Christian life.

The normal Christian life is preaching the gospel, is baptizing people, is laying hands on the sick, is radical prayer meetings, is driving out devils.

These are not extracurricular ministries.

This is, come on, the normal Christian life. And what we've been trying to get you

guys to and what we've been preaching, come on, share this broadcast, like the broadcast,

and what we've been telling you about in the book of Acts is this is God's normal for you.

The normal is not just being babysat. Here's the issue in the American church. You think that

going to church on Sunday is Christianity.
