I read every day a little book called Daily Strength for Daily Needs.

I don't know how many of you are familiar with this, but it is about a hundred year old

book.

But it is still in print as far as I know, and it is just about the best daily devotional

if you want to read daily devotional, and I always say don't read daily devotional

if you don't have time for both the Bible and the devotional.

Never use anything as a substitute for the Bible.

I try to use both and other things as well.

But it happens that today's reading is germane to the things that I wanted to talk about.

So I'm going to read it.

For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with

the glory which shall be revealed in us.

And that's from Romans 18, and Hebrews 7, 16, the power of an endless life.

Belief is thou in eternal things, thou knowest in thine in most heart, thou art not clay.

Thy soul hath wings and what thou seest is but part.

Make this thy medicine for the smart of every day's distress.
