TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:

Romans 10:5–9 [5] For Moses writes about the righteousness that is based on the law, that the person who does the commandments shall live by them. [6] But the righteousness based on faith says, “Do not say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?’” (that is, to bring Christ down) [7] “or ‘Who will descend into the abyss?’” (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead). [8] But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith that we proclaim); [9] because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. (ESV)

0:08.5	It's time for us to get our minds aligned with the truth of God's word.
0:12.4	You know, when I was a kid, my mom used to watch the show called Perry Mason.
0:17.4	Perry Mason was this attorney who was always investigating things to find out who really did
0:22.4	the deed that was being tried in the court cases. And somehow Perry Mason always got people
0:29.5	to confess that they did it when they were on the witness stand. Isn't that amazing thing? Wouldn't that
0:35.4	be great if trials always went that way?
0:38.4	Now, that idea of confession is something we all understand. We understand having to come clean
0:44.8	at times and say, yes, I did it, or yes, I'm the one who made that mistake. Today's passage in Romans
0:50.2	10, 5 through 9 is talking about this idea of confession. And it is really one of the most
0:56.8	powerful things we can do when it comes to our eternal destiny. We're going to get to that in just a
