So I was asked to do this this snail knot for the end of the fly line.

And so I'm following this video from Flip Pallet and Flip Pallet is using not a tie fast not tire like I am. He's using just a bodkin or a piece of wire but he's saying that this is not a nail knot it's a

snail knot and so what I'm doing is I first start with my butt section right

here put the fly line parallel to it. So now we have two things

here, tag in here, tag in here, and then the rest of the butt section will come up here like this.

And so what I'm going to do is go back the opposite direction and I want to leave a good amount on this tag end over here because this is how I'm going to

tighten the knot.

Now what I basically have is one big loop,

the one piece is going out here, there's a big loop

So back, all the way around, and then out that way. Then what he does is he takes the
