Summary

Community - a feeling of fellowship with others, as a result of sharing common attitudes, interests, and goals. A group of people living in the same place or having a particular characteristic in common.

Having a community to be apart is a way that you can feel useful and have a sense of purpose. outside of a community, it's just you... only you. Very little or a lot less gets done when you're alone. There's power in numbers especially when you are apart of the right community for you. Join a good community and make a decision to add value with something you are already good at. You will find the there's a return waiting on you at some point.

0:26.7	community. That's been my number one strategy. I just figure if I can get a couple people together
0:34.0	to not only inspire me, but to encourage me when I'm down, I'll be fine.
0:40.4	So even while I was working at the Cheesecake Factory, that was loud.
0:46.8	I hope it hits at the right time where I say something and it's a bar. It's like, hey,
0:56.9	we're going to keep going. But even while I was working at the Cheesecake Factory, it was,
1:08.4	I used to have these get-togethers at my house. So I only had one design which was the logo,
1:14.3	but I would connect my laptop to the TV and I got like a shirt, a shirt mock-up and I put the logo
1:21.4	on the shirt mock-up. So it might be a blue shirt with a white logo. And my objective was to get
1:26.2	people to come to my house and help me with the concepts and the designs. Remember I had one design,
1:32.1	so I put it on a computer. I'm like, okay, what do you think about the blue shirt and the white logo?
1:37.8	Should I make it smaller? Should I make it bigger? You think I should put it on the back? And there's
1:41.5	people on the couch just hanging around. We get some food, which is hanging out, having a good time,
1:45.7	play some music, and everybody's like, yo, that's the one. So I do that a couple of times a week,
1:51.2	whether it's between them helping me put the t-shirt together or the concept or just different
1:57.3	strategies. They're coming over because they know it's going to be some other people there,
2:00.8	but I know I needed that insight, but outside of their advice and their insight and their suggestions,
2:06.4	I knew I needed to be around some people. That was my whole strategy. When I first started kind of
2:14.1	like a bigger community, I would do these free calls called midnight meeting of the mind,
