Summary

This week on the Cat & Cloud Podcast we are throwing it back to an early conversation Chris and Jared had about the importance of communicating needs at work. As an employee, being able to ask for what you need and feeling empowered by your leadership team to speak up can be the difference between your team quitting or staying. Listen to the full episode to hear some of their first-hand experiences and get some tips on fostering an environment where the whole team knows what’s possible. Started by three friends trying to pursue their passions with the mission to inspire connection by creating memorable experiences, and we created this podcast to continue forming those connections inside and out of our cafes. The Cat & Cloud podcast was created as a space for two of our founders, Chris Baca and Jared Truby, to share their experiences in the coffee industry and starting a business. Each week the guys sit down to talk about their new challenges as business owners, how they’ve utilize our mission and values to make decisions, and answer questions from our listening community. If you’re looking to expand your coffee knowledge, get some advice for your own small business, or just like the vibes, give us a listen! Enjoy!

interesting listen looking back on it. All right. Enjoy, and we'll see you next week.

world. Or, you know, at least that's how we look at it. Maybe I'm, maybe I'm being too kind.

1:23.1

Like a lot of people are like, I need to make money. I'm really good at this thing. So I'm going to do that. You are just speaking from a place of inspiration. A lot of people are like, I could do this

1:31.2

and I can make money. So what a lot of people that, you know, I talk to these people who are like,

1:35.3

okay, cool, now I've created this thing. And this thing, instead of being a funnel for my
