More than a year since the day that changed everything, just about every Jew is asking,

how am I supposed to be a Jew right now?

Regardless of whether you're conservative or reform, reconstructionist, whatever,

if you're Jewish asking yourself how to be a Jew comes up constantly in unexpected places,

at the movies while you're reading a book when you walk into a concert,

at a dinner party, or even sometimes a synagogue. In other words, we can continue to focus on the

tragedy, but that would be missing the point, when right now people are connecting to a visceral

form of Judaism, something that has lived in, even if it's imperfect.

And that is what our brand new show, How to Be a Jew, is all about.

Every week, we'll be breaking down a current cultural topic and talking about what it means

for us as Jews and how we react to it because we are Jews.

I won't be flying solo through this.
