Welcome to another edition of Rob Observations.

I am your host, Rob Leifeld, author, illustrator,

creator of comic books and characters that maybe you've heard of, Deadpool, Cable, Domino,

X-Force, Shatterstar, Youngblood, Supreme Brigade, Evangeline. I have been doing this for 38 years,

super excited to make comics and to continue to make

comics. This podcast was launched three years ago so that I could talk to you and share all of

my passion about the comic books that I have helped create and the comic books that inspired me

to create in the first place.

The comic books that I was pulling off the spinner axe in the 7-11, the market, the liquor

store as a kid, and watching those characters, sometimes that we're selling 40,000 copies

a month become billion-dollar franchises.

Comic books superheroes have become the dominant figures in pop culture.

And I just came from Comic-Con 20-23, San Diego Comic-Con, 23.

Comic-Con International. It's got all these different names.

When I was growing up, it was just called the San Diego Comic-Con. A place was packed.
