I'm John Batchel with Bill Rajo, Senior Fellow Foundation for the Defense of Democracy,

my good colleague who keeps the Long War Journal.

We're reviewing conflict zones that are said to be momentarily, said to be solved.

Syria, Iran, Afghanistan, we mentioned in passing. We now come to Ukraine.

The simultaneity of an enormous barrage of Iskander missiles that got through, seven of eight

got through the defenses because we're told Iran is out of Patriot missile system weapons.

The phone call with President Trump said to be very positive by Mr. Zelensky.

All of that happening simultaneous while Europe is looking for solutions for Ukraine,

as if it can be solved somehow at the negotiating table.

Bill, the Long War Journal, John Hardy, our colleague, and we'll speak to later this week,

has made it very clear that nobody's backing off the front line, that Ukraine is out of manpower,

and Russia's, there's a headline saying Russia is recruiting 30,000 more North Koreans.

So far from the war being solved or in negotiating terms, it looks to me from the outside that Russia is preparing to take it all.

Yeah, look, you know, we're talking about looking at things the way we want to

and suppose they really are in Syria and Afghanistan and Iran.

The same problem exists with the Russian-Ukraine war.

Remember at the beginning of the war and even within the first couple of years?

I mean, even occasionally still the Russians are running out of missiles.

Meanwhile, they're producing far more than they ever did in launching massive attacks. The Russians

don't have manpower. Meanwhile, the Russians are recruiting 25,000 to 30,000 more per month

than the Ukrainians are to fight the war. The Russians were out of tanks

and this and armored vehicles. Sure, they've hit, but the Russians have up production and
