Jake asks Eddie to share his Pete Rose story and then Jake explains why Rose probably won’t be inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame even though there’s a lot of speculation he will following his passing.

He highlights his career with the Cincinnati Reds, how beloved he was by the fanbase because of him embodying the blue-collar nature of the city and examines the long ongoing debate about his Hall of Fame candidacy.

Their conversation starts with Holder providing an update on the status of Colts players that are injured, states that he’s looking forward to Raekwon Davis stepping up with defensive lineman dropping like flies, assesses how many more 50+ yard field goal attempts Matt Gay has to miss before they consider changing kickers, and highlights the importance of the next five games for the Colts when examining the playoff picture through four weeks of the season.

Jake highlights something that we learned from media day yesterday and during Rick Carlisle’s conversation with the Wake-Up Call. They explain why they don’t believe Indiana will be the team that regresses this season.

(1:55:40-2:11:03) – Sports Illustrated’s Matt Verderame joins Query & Company to highlight what he has seen from the Indianapolis Colts through four weeks, still believes in the Cincinnati Bengals will make the playoffs despite a 1-3 start to the season, tries to make sense of the struggles for Trevor Lawrence this season, and then examines the Colts playoff chances because he thinks they could be a really tough out assuming everyone is healthy.
