Howdy, Pastor Mark Triscoll here at the Trinity Church in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Really excited to provide for you the series of sermons based on the Book of Colashions.

It's an amazing book of the New Testament where the Apostle Paul is writing from prison to a newly planted

church and we took a few months here at the Trinity Church to go verse by verse through

this book of the Bible. I've had the honor of preaching

and teaching perhaps a few dozen books of the Bible in my career and this is the

first time I've ever been through Colossians and I'm really excited that you can

join me.

All right, it's our last day in Colossians.

We're going to cover a lot of scripture.

We're in Colossians 4 verses 2 through 16.

I'm not going to lie, I'm going on vacation, so I got to finish up today. So we're going

to cover a huge chunk of Colossians and it's sort of the grand finale to Paul's great letter.

And as you're finding your place in your Bible we learned that

ministry is all about people and what you're going to meet today is a whole

number of people that are like you and like you and like you there are people

that are in the church they're loving loving, they're serving, they're

caring, they're giving, they're contributing, and as a result Paul is going to be

honoring them. And as we dive in, let me tell you the motive for choosing

this book of the Bible. We tend to go through books of the

Bible. That's kind of what I like to do. But what I was particularly drawn to this book for was

the fact it was written to a brand new church.
